Plain-language definitions for the words I use around here.
- Hx (Heartbeats)
- The six big areas of my life that organize everything in the garden. See Start here for the list.
- Dx (Diagnosis)
- Fifteen smaller, more specific areas, each sitting inside one Heartbeat. A way of naming what I’m actually working on.
- Tx (Treatment)
- A practice or experiment I try for a particular Diagnosis. Some of mine are still just ideas, and I use the word loosely.
- Seedling
- A rough, early note, often an early guess. It may be wrong, unsourced, or missing an example.
- Budding
- A note that has been cleaned up and has some of my own thinking and an example.
- Evergreen
- A note that is reasonably complete and still tended. It can still change.
- Encounter
- Something I read, heard, or lived through that sparks a note. The raw encounters stay private; only the rewritten idea appears here.
