Romantic Commitment

One of six “Diagnoses” under my Relationships Heartbeat, and probably the one I’ve circled back to and rewritten the most.

Commitment isn’t really the hard part. Showing up consistently, being honest when something’s off instead of letting it fester, and choosing a partner over the version of myself that wants to stay guarded — that’s the actual work. This diagnosis is less about a single milestone and more about a practice: being someone worth committing to, not just someone hoping to find commitment.

Where I’m at: further along than I was a year ago, still a work in progress, and okay with that.
